At that point in the game, I think it was just her last stop. Death from starvation was not far off in her future. In the end run she lucked out, and so did we.

Scaredy is in a 'hyper affectionate' phase right now. Walking between and rubbing against my legs to the point I have to be careful not to step on/trip over her. Is it something about the time of year ? It's when she finally made contact last year.

Even for me it is difficult to comprehend how something more terrified of me than a naturally wild animal could now be so affectionate. Of course it's taken nearly 8 years. That's less time than it takes for most people to like me.

Seriously. Babies look at the Princess and beam and smile. They look at me and cry. Even my grand children have admitted to being afraid of me until they figured me out. Maybe it's my voice or perhaps the scowl ?
