Ivermectin vs. Eprinex dosage confusion

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I think I am still missing something about 2 things:

1) Ivermectin for worms - will it kill my chicken's worms or not??

2) Dosage for "Ivermectin 1% injectible for cattle" -- what should i be dropping on her shoulders... 5 drops from my tiny syringe (which equates to something like maybe 1/10 of a mL on the syringe), or half a mL (which would be a LOT of drops)?

Thanks!
Ivermectin has lost its effectiveness in treating poultry worms. You'd be better off using Safeguard liquid goat wormer or Valbazen.

it is safe for chickens.

it should be given by weight. The dose I use to treat lice and mites is 0.05 ml per pound (0.25 ml per five pounds). I do not use it to treat worms because it's not an effective poultry de-wormer.
