You would either use the dust or spray, treat each bird.If I use permetherin, how do I treat the birds?
Id caution people taking blood thinners like warfarin and ingesting ivermectin. Its a black box warning (bad) to mix warfarin (Coumadin) and Ivermectin. It thins the blood too much and is lethal interaction. Just FYI.Wife and I ran cattle up until about ten years ago and we had more Ivermectin splashed, spilled on us that if it was going to hurt us we would have been dead long years ago. No more than your chickens are getting it will not be enough to hurt you (unless like any and everything you as individual might be allergic to it so check the side effects).
My vet told me the same thing when I asked about Safeguard treatment for worms. When discussing it, he said he's required to tell me what the recommendations are. But then I asked him, "If they were your chickens, would you eat the eggs right away?"....He told us to discard eggs for 21 days after last treatment.
Maybe roundworms.New to the thread, isnt the benefit of ivermectin also that it treats most all internal parasites as well? Or is that not the case with chickens? Idk???
