I know this is the wrong area to ask this question but you seem to know a lot about chickens. How would I tell if Doodle the Rooster is a Black Cochin or a Black Orpington?

He does have feathers on his feet and I thought he was a Black Cochin but I wasn't sure because the feathers around his neck and chest are long.

I am going to follow up in two weeks with this to completely get rid of any worms, but I'm still very confused on the dosage. One thing I saw was to admister a bb size drop I. Their beak. Is this correct? Will it be safe for my roo? He is a 8-9 mo old silkie.

Wazine only gets rid of large roundworms. Chickens can pick up several types of worms. Ivermectin has lost its effectiveness in killing worms in poultry. Consider returning the ivermectin paste and purchase safeguard liquid goat wormer or valbazen cattle/sheep wormer and dose all your birds with one wormer or the other. If one birds has worms, most likely the wothers have them as well.
Once you purchase either one of the liquid wormers I recommended, use a syringe without a needle to administer orally undiluted. Dosage for either wormer is 1/2cc for standard size birds, 1/4cc for smaller birds. For large birds, increase safeguard dosage to 3/4cc orally undiluted. Then redose all your birds again in 10 days. There's a 14 day withdrawal period after the last dosing.

Dawg-I am worming but I had someone ask about eating eggs/meat from a wormer medicated bird. 2 weeks on eggs same for meat? Using Ivermectin this time as it is what I have on hand. Thanks.

Another question for the experts...if I do ivermectin now can I switch to safeguard or Valbazen (probably didn't spell that right ) for the spring worming. Is is best to alternate wormers?
