Ivomec pour on for scaly leg mites?

I'd say both hurt.
One has a split around the toe. I'd apply a bit of triple antibiotic ointment on the toe after you soak and dry the feet, then wrap the toe.

Other foot, toe has a scab/nodule, that is probably a bit painful or sore. Hopefully with soakings and tending to the foot regularly this will resolve.

Agree, toe nails need to be trimmed.

Ok. About the scab nodules, we had two roosters that had a “growth” from the leg mites, and we put Vaseline on it for about 4 days and it just fell off. Could the same thing happen here and do you think Vaseline still needs to be applied?

And with the soaking, would some sulfur mixed in the water help with the mites?

Here is her spa treatment. You can’t see it but her feet are dangling in a little bucket of warm water.

You can buy Nustock cream which has sulfur in it, along with pine oil, or you can make your own sulfur cream with vaseline. Scaly leg mites that are advanced can take a few weeks to get under control. The soaking is important, and you can add a little Dawn or other soap, or Epsom Salts. An old toothbrush gently used at the end of the soak, can help to loosen up the scales, and then when you dry to legs, the cream/ointment can be rubbed well into the legs and feet. Trim the nails carefully. I had a hen like this who never wore her nails down, and had mites. She never was very active and would not dust bathe.

Ok, so here’s an update for this week so far.

On Sunday, we soaked her feet, brushed them, applied some neosporin to the break in her skin and slathered on some aquafor as well. She has isolated in our laundry room with a little stuffed lion for some company. She eats and drinks, but she still won’t use the foot. I have been at college so I am just relaying what my mom has told me over the phone. We didn’t get a chance to get the ivomec from my neighbors yet because my little brother has been sick and my parents didn’t want to expose them (they are older, the wife has cancer). If there’s anything else we need to do, let me know, I can try to get my parents to do it. I won’t be home until Friday afternoon.
