Ivory the Rooster: Day 665 *updates*

Thank you for the kind words, cmlew99.

It's been a while since I've been on here but just decided to come back and check things out and saw your reply. I can't believe it's already been 10 months since Ivory passed away...seems like it was yesterday that he was a spunky little chick trying to make dust baths on my bed back during the days when his brooder was in my room. Such a long time ago...

Hello everyone. It has now been over a year since Ivory passed away. We just recently had two roosters, who were possibly blood relatives of his, pass away due to a fox attack. So we made two new headstones for both of them; one on each side of Ivory's headstone.
I'm never on here anymore due to work and college classes and such, but I happened to stop by today and started reading through the old posts on this thread...so strange, I was so young and naive back then, with my crazy purple bedroom and a baby rooster living in a brooder box. Ahh, the good old days haha. I still miss him. Ivory was such a big part of my late childhood; I know that's crazy to say, after all to many people roosters are "just" roosters. But somehow he helped me through a lot of stuff back then, what with moving and parental divorces and such...He was always there. There's something therapeutic about just sitting and watching chickens. Besides, I had a blast posting on this thread and I hope you guys got a kick out of the many pictures and writings from my naive teenage self back then.

Anyways, thank you again to everyone who has contributed to this thread. This will likely be my last post on this thread, sort of as a final good-bye to Ivory and his "legacy", if you will, and of course to those who were with us every step of the way.
