Jacin's Fiber Art

I learned how to spin on a friend's Ashford. She said she'd lent it to several people to learn to spin. That wheel had some good "learning juju" on it.
It definitely does. My grandma uses a kiwi that she teaches some people on, but it was one of the wheels (I tried like 4 before the ashford) that just fought me.

Oh wow that's cool! I have some great wool that I need to figure out how to clean/process and do something with. I work at a museum that preserves the Appalachian heritage so we have sheep shearing events and I grabbed some of the best quality wool from our last event. Thinking maybe felting would be easiest, but I need to figure out the cleaning process etcetc.
I just realized I don't think I ended up replying, so sorry.

Look to see if there are any mills open you're willing to drive to. Price varies a lot, but that's your best bet unless you want to actually do all the work yourself

Thinking I have about 3 or 4 skeins left in me before I have to stop spinning for a little but. Hoping to finish listing some of my Batts this weekend and maybe some skeins if I have any worth selling from my wash last week. Going to inspect and measure them this weekend hopefully.

Good thing you don’t ship yarn… otherwise I’d need to start knitting/crocheting
I will be soon, we're still working on listing stuff in the store. The main issue I'll have is most of my skeins are one offs or pairs, so people can't buy a bunch of skeins for a large project like a lot of the stores do

Yeah. I do small stuff, so that wouldn’t mainly be a problem for me.
