For anyone who want to take pictures without that red lamp glow, turn your flash on. Thile silkie picture was taken right in that red glow

I've posted the mosaic males before, not sure about the other 3 possible dads. And then orpington, but he's a big white hird and is only considered because he is unrestrained while the red pen is also unrestrained, so the possibility is there, however slim it is

Shed is mearly finished. Darn interior measurments are messing me up though. In case y'all dont know, an 8x10 foot shed is the outside measurements. You ain't fitting 8x10 objects inside.

Finishing Monday so i can get shavings, a table or 2 and something to store feed in and then the silkies are outta here.

So i did a little check today with my birds because someone in a difderemt thread was told not to breed their spurred hens because they would pass that to their daughters.

I have 2 spitzhaubens that are spurred. They actually grew their spurs super fast, fasrer than male birds the same age as them actually. So i checked their daughter to see if she had any spurs even starting.

She does not. She's as bare as most females are there.

Moral of this? Not every daughter a spurred hen has will have spurs as well.

Power went out for about 15 minutes.

Pretty sure everything is okay though, bator had dropped to 95.5 when it turned back on and rose fast back to 99.5

Also finished the shed set up and all that, silkie babies will go out in a few days
