I'm not sure I'll find cheaper feed . There isn't a local feed store that does poultry feed (all the money is in large animals here and it's a well known fact) and shiptons is more expensive for the same stuff.

I'll be shopping though anyways once weather gets better. Also looking into starting to do fodder for at least the penned birds occasionally

Have you ever been in Mintana Mills off S 25th? They have a waterfowl crumble that is virtually identical to the Dumor I started with. The differences are primarily in the trace minerals with less than .25% differences.

The feed is also part of a CHS program where the eleventh bag is free. A nice bonus for a feed produced closer to home and available from a mom & pop supplier.

In a pinch maybe, but I definitely wouldn't give it long term. What kind of waterfowl feed are you looking at?

I'm not sure. MTKitty mentioned a store nearby that had a waterfowl feed. I'm assuming that if they have that, they have chicken feed, but I don't know

I compared the tag with the Dumor I had them on, thinking I /had/ to have layer crumble. But the protein, fiber and fat were the same. Trace minerals differed by insignificant amounts. They’ve been on this waterfowl crumble for ~ two months with no problems. My boys even bulked up a bit, but that could just be normal teen-ager growth, so I hesitate to attribute it to the feed.
