Shared Acres Christy, please bring 2 of your Cochin roos, bigger the better. My friend needs one asap.

The weather is supposed to be good, with a high of 64 so hopefully we'll have a big turnout.

IT'S SPRING YOU KNOW!!!!!!! I guess nobody told the weather. And where's Al Gore to explain that "global warming" stuff to us again?
I wonder where you go to return a Nobel Peace Prize anyway? HA!

GOOD NEWS!!!! I have EGGS!!!! After waiting 8 long months I am getting one little silky egg every other day. I have 7 in the refrig. When I get to 8 I'm makin' BREAKFAST!!!! at least one of my hens is paying the rent.

We are going to have to pass on this one as well. Just got home from the ER with DH Has 26 stitches in his hand. Tried to break up a fight between our 2 male dogs. Guess he forgot you dont use your hands to try to separate 2 fighting dogs. He wants to come but I put my foot down he will fell like h**** come morning especially since the ER doctor doesnt believe in pain pills. Hope you all have a good swap See you all in March. Micki

Oh Mickie....so sorry to hear about DH's hand!!!! Let us know how he's doing. We missed you at the show. Everybody sold out before Noon and were gone before 1:00 Things went FAST! It was a pretty day and people were out looking. Hope to see you at the next one.
As for the ER Doc not "believing" in pain medication.....where is he from??????Mars????? Call your regular Doc and have him call in something appropriate. If you don't have one, call the hospital he went to and get the attending physician (not the same idiot) to prescribe. I bet they would feel differently if it was THEIR HAND!!!! You know the definition of a serious injury? One that happens to YOU! HA!

Micki,
I agree with featherbaby. Sorry to hear about your DH's hand. I missed seeing you two also. I don't think there was as many people there this month but many that came sold out pretty fast. A lot of people were gone before noon. I left around 11:30 as many had already left. Hope to see you next month. Alieda (cmom)

Thanks Sandi and Alieda Bill's hand is pretty sore. He is supposed to go see our family doctor tomorrow. Hopefully. I am sitting here at the computer as they gave him pennicillin which I am deathly allergic to. Tried to go to bed but the smell of it on his breathe has me so stuffed up and coughing that I cant sleep. It closes my throat up and I keep choking. I will be sleeping in the spare room tonight and every night until he gets over that stuff. Glad to hear everything went well today. I was really looking forward to it. Bill wanted to come anyway but I told him there was noway he could drive 2 1/2 hours one way When he finally got up today he agreed with me. Now tomorrow we have to deal with the sheriff as the hospital will hve to file a dogbite case. Hopefully it will be OK. I dont blame the dogs Bill should know better than to grab a dog when he fighting. We ran a dog kennel for years and have had to stop more than one fight. He just wasnt thinking he was mad. Sandi did your friend get his rooster if not I still have the orp Micki

Mickie, he got a roo at the show, however there were other people looking for BOs and no one had any at this show. Be sure and bring them next time, I feel certain you'll sell them. Keep us informed about Bill's hand, and stay away from him!!!! You don't need to be sick! If the Doc knows you're allergic to Penicillin, couldn't he give him another antibiotic?

You're both in my prayers.

Sandi

Swap went well--Bent Creek took Mr. Horny Duck!

Not as many people set up as normal, but everyone sold out quickly. A couple of people looking for goats and lambs.
