So obviously James Marie Farms is top dog of the quail in the US. Its very well known. I wanted to start this page as a resource for information on all of his varieties of birds. I buy from Robby (Owner of JMF) weekly, So I will try to order every variety for a personal opinion.
I currently have in the incubator:
Golden Layer Hybrids Which is supposed to be a cross between golden speckled italian, regular italian, and manchurians. It is supposed to be an amazing eggs producer of very large eggs that are very uniform in color and pattern. I can say right now that they do lay very large eggs and they are all a beautiful marbled brown, not speckled like most coturnix eggs.
Texas A&M Most of you already know what and A&M is, but Robby's are supposed to be AMAZING. In about 2 weeks Ill be able to tell you their growth myself. I am very excited for these guys. They are also good layers of very big eggs, I guess "Big egg, big bird" Usually.
James Marie Pharaoh I am definitely going to be holding a flock of these birds back just from what I have heard from Robby. I have an inclination towards pharaohs because they are awesome birds that if they escape they dont stick out like a sore thumb to predators like other colors, and I have sexed some as early as 3 weeks old.
I will be updating this page with my personal experience with each bird and everyone elses experiences with them as well. I will also add more varieties to the list as I get the others.
This is only regarding JMF stock, not stock other than James marie. This is JMF direct ordered.
