I have 6 of them. Each one holds 2940 eggs.
I didn't have trays for all of them, so traded 3 incubators for a stack of trays from the guy in Northern MN. They are a quality incubator.

Realize this is an older thread, but I just came across four Jamesway incubators for sale. The ad does state that they all work together, so does that mean if I just buy one, the egg turner will not work without the "lead" or "head" incubator???

Yes, you need a turner. You might also be interested in knowing how the 2940 got its name. That is the number of eggs each one can incubate at a time. Trays are hard to find, so only get one with trays. It isn't like you could make trays. They are made with a sheet metal bracket at the back that causes each egg tray to lean nearly 90 degrees each way when the trhough rod pushes or pulls from the automatic turner.

Cool. I did not know that.......

Can anyone who has a 2940 take a picture of their humidity water tray setup for me? I'm rebuilding one that was stripped of the fan and tray.
