JAN 28th HATCH!!! Who's with me?!?

I'm starting to freak out just a bit. Sorry to hear about everyone's bad luck.

Ok, but not freaked enough, because I just ordered more eggs!!

Candled my eggs and I saw movement/growth in 6 eggs. One egg I saw movement but the chick is small than everybody else?!?

Candled my 30 today and it looks like I have development in at least 2/3 of them. I'm pretty stoked. That's pretty good for eggs shipped to Alaska in the middle of winter (or any time for that matter).

Now to see how the hatch goes...

Put another 30 chicken and 28 quail eggs in tonight.

Well, I also candled... For this hatch, I lost 4.. I took pics but didn't think anyone really wanted to see them so I haven't posted them... From the development, I lost a chick on day 8, 10, 11, and 12... Today is 13...

One thing I did find quite strange was that almost ALL of the eggs I lost are from the left front corner of the bator.. Not sure if it's coincidence or if there is something going on in that corner but, I now have that space empty and hopefully I won't lose anymore... I'm not going to candle again until lockdown...

For the eggs I set for the CNY hatch, I THOUGHT I set 12 but I actually set 14???? Well, of those, I saw veins in all of them, little chicks swimming around in a few of them and 2 clears... I'm going to leave them alone until lockdown for the Jan 28th hatch and those two are still clear, I'll pull them...

OH I just love hearing about all the cheeping and pipping!!! 4 more days til lockdown!!!! I'm getting so eggcited!!!!! UGH!!! I still don't have a place to put them!! Gotta get to work on that!
