Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Try not to beat yourself up... You did the best you could when you did find out - especially since you didn't know she was pregnant. It's unfortunate, but given the circumstances it doesn't sound like you could have done anything differently. I hope Belle Recovers quickly!

At least we found her when we did she could have died. And I wasnt there my dad was. He had to pull th dead lamb out. Its hard I am praying for belle to be ok

Sad, sad news our ewe decided to lamb but she was to small and the baby was half in and half out and it died. Poor Belle is at the vet.

Awww... So sorry!!!!

I woke up to a death also, we knew our rabbit was supposed to give birth this morning, when I went out at 7:30am to feed and water the animals I checked on her, she had one kit, it was dead... I was really worried as she hadn't pulled any fur for a nest or anything... I helped her out by putting hay in her box... Took the little one out, perfect little baby, grey coat....... Went back to check on her at noon and she was busy pulling fur, no more babies, went back at 4 and although I don't know how many she has there was some wiggling in the nest, fed momma a carrot and some good greens and left her to them...I'll go back out in the morning and do a head count... I'm worried there are more dead ones but I don't want to disturb her anymore....

We had no idea belley was pregnant just go to the farm and she's in labour.

So I ended up taking 3 tests yesterday, and I took two more this morning, just to be sure. I'm starting to think I just like peeing on things. Called the dr, and since we had a snowstorm today, and since a bunch of people canceled their appointments today they were able to get me in this afternoon. Doctors test was positive too, they did a blood draw and an ultrasound, but we couldn't see anything yet. I have another US on the first and a follow up on the fourth.

Max is outside pretending to be grown again. He won't come in. It is freezing. I'll give him until 9PM and then I'll shake his vitamins. He loves those vitamins.

I finally got my last leak fix, I hope it's the last. I think I can fix just about any plumbing problem now as long as I don't have to dig too much. I have been without water for 7 out of the last 9 days. My chickens were so mad because they couldn't have their fermented food. It has been cold. I lost one chicken. I hope the rest will be OK. They have a heat lamp and a little house in the pen but they don't always go in or under the lamp. I have 2 silkies that always stay out and I have to get on the ground and reach way back to get them every night. Crazy chickens.

I have had my incubator on and ready for a few days. The power company is supposed to have an outage. I have been waiting a week. NowI have to save up new eggs. Some of the hens I wantedto hatch from, stopped laying.
