Getting nervous 24 eggs going into lock down today. have my rhodebar eggs going into lockdown on sat. all 24 looked good to me and only two of the rhodebars look good, now trying to decide do I hatch them in a carton or lay them down? Picking up another dozen eggs to hatch on saturday and have three dozen that i put in the bator on sat. this is bad very very bad. lol.
I really shouldn't be the one answering these questions but this one I know(newbie)Yes pointy side down in a clean egg carton. Place egg carton on one end up a bit higher then a couple times a day turn it around so the other side is up. I was told to do this I didn't find out until I had been collecting for a while and then started, the first three I collected did not get rotated till half way though the collection period and they hatched fine.. but and ounce of prevention is better then...![]()
alright. I put the eggs into lockdown today! Hatch day is SundayI'll make sure to post pics and updates once they start pipping!![]()
I also put mine into lockdown and discarded an egg that I thought had died. Good thing I did, because I looked inside and found that I was right. I don't want to chance anything exploding during lockdown!
