I really shouldn't be the one answering these questions but this one I know

(newbie)Yes pointy side down in a clean egg carton. Place egg carton on one end up a bit higher then a couple times a day turn it around so the other side is up. I was told to do this I didn't find out until I had been collecting for a while and then started, the first three I collected did not get rotated till half way though the collection period and they hatched fine.. but and ounce of prevention is better then...

Getting nervous 24 eggs going into lock down today. have my rhodebar eggs going into lockdown on sat. all 24 looked good to me and only two of the rhodebars look good, now trying to decide do I hatch them in a carton or lay them down? Picking up another dozen eggs to hatch on saturday and have three dozen that i put in the bator on sat. this is bad very very bad. lol.

I'll make sure to post pics and updates once they start pipping!

I also put mine into lockdown and discarded an egg that I thought had died. Good thing I did, because I looked inside and found that I was right. I don't want to chance anything exploding during lockdown!

#4: putting eggs in lockdown today. 6 silkies/crosses and 1 surprise egg, several with saddle air sacs from being detached.

it is important to have a good candler and candle before lock down- as the chicks hatch they like to hear encouragement from the other eggs to hatch and wouldn't it be terrible if you peeped and didn't get a peep back.

Yeah real funny I think they need AA for incubating lol. Hi my name is Sherry and I am addicted to hatching Eggs lol. Wait I just thought of something with all three of my kids having incubators we could have a weekly hatching cycle going. LOL this originally was about the kids but they are just not as excited as I am lol
