Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Day 20 here. No pips yet. Only set 3 of my sizzle hen's eggs. Lots of movements at last candle, so I'm hopeful. of course I stick my face against the window on the incubator every ten seconds. Temp is consistently 100-101 and humidity at 62-64%.

I told my husband that I keep imagining them busting out of their eggs like the kool aid man used to do through brick walls....anyone else remember that? So now everytime I walk to the incubator, he calls out "kooooooooll aaiiiid".

It's going to be a long couple of days. Lol

Gah! I can't post a pic but the baby I found pipped this morning has made a good sized hole and pulled part of the membrane away exposing its beak, it's alternately chirping and wiggling around. I found another baby pipped last time I checked on #1 (which, let's face it, is every few minutes).

This is so exciting!

So last night was day 14 for mine. I candled all the eggs, removed 5 that are clear. Cracked them all open, looks like some infertile and a couple early quitters. Not too bad so far for shipped eggs. I should note about half of my 35 eggs in the bator are my own. All of mine appear to me developing nicely. Fingers crossed 2/3rd of the way there. The one pictured is clear and I removed. Hope I have lots of little black & white fuzzy butts running around soon!

Hi guys my Silkies are now 5 days old how soon do you think I could put in a drip waterer. I am worried they are so small they would drown when they hit it. thoughts?

Yeah that wasn't even a game. I'm not a big fan of either team but the Seahawks showed up to play tonight.
