101 degrees. That's what I have mine on.What should the temperature be for a still-air incubator?
First incubator for me, Genesis Hovabator 1588. Temp at 100 for 20 days, have learned so much on this hatch site, but now seeing the temp should have been higher. About how much longer will it take the chicks to hatch?? still air. What should the temperature be for a still-air incubator?
I know what you mean this thread moves very quickly sometimes. Tonight is lockdown for me too. I've got mine in my closet floor on my bedroom. Wife says I need to move them out before they start to hatch cos she doesnt want to hear all that cheeping!I feel like I miss so much!
A deal of it is to do with the time difference. When I get up and look here there are only a few folk on - But as with today all the activity has happened while I was sleeping! DarnWell over 100 posts to catch up on so I have just flicked through and find it hard to keep up and see who has hatched and who is still waiting.
Tonight for me is LOCKDOWN!!!!! YeahhhhhI am all excited but don;t have much hope?
After last year I have done NOTHING to these eggs.
I have not monitored temp or humidity -
I have NOT candled appart from one failed atempt early on.
All I have done is turn them 3 times daily and top up the water trough under the eggs.
Tonight I will turn for the last time fill up the outer ring under the eggs to the top as the bator instructs and then I am going to chill out and ignor it for a week - Or at least until I hear a chirp!
Darn you all know I will be clucking over them like a mother hen!Oh Please let them hatch!
The temp has risen slightly - thats a good sign right?
