Think of it this way: A broody hen gets off the nest every day to eat & potty. The eggs cool while she is up. I guarantee eggs being hatched most of the year reach much cooler temperatures than yours did & hatch just fine.

OMG I love them!!!!!!

you can already see their little crests look at that!

roger roger on the chick sandals asap - I have 1 pip and 1 zipping right now (yay!!!) so I will take her out of the incubator again when those 2 are out

I wonder if her toe problems indicate too high temp. I am interested to see if the others toes are OK. this girl hatched first, so maybe she was directly under the heater

Well end of Day 21 and NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I soooooooooooooooooooo want HATCHING Going on!!!!!!!!

I do hope something is in these eggs.

Congratulations on all the new babies................
I have one out and no other pips yet.
It is lovely, a nice blue from my layer flock.. BLRW roo and blue orp cross I think
The weather is bitter.ran out of dog food.....................poor pup.(great dane)
Stocked up on chicken food and forgot about him..................

We live in a very small community and one of the clerks at the little store
just dropped off dog food and ice cream.( It's going to be a long night.
Still in blizzard conditions and freezing rain expected later this afternoon.
We are fine, use to it, but still worried if we lose electricity.................

the power went out this morning the the temp in my incubator went down to 82 this is my first batch ever and i hope they're ok

79 is when its consider critical, your incubator got that low not the inside of the egg...your good
