Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

My Wheaton girls are being loved by their man WAY too much. All this egg fertilizing can take its toll on their backs. It's a rainy day, and I'm sewing some love to my baby makers. Just picked up elastic cord, and used scrap flannel. I recommend it! Fits nicely! If you fellow incubators have your own eggs you're hatching, this may be an issue. Day 14 for my eggs (and counting....)

The one that hatched was a mystery egg. Not sure who laid it. The rest I have marked. At least the moms. Dad could be one of two BLRW's or my NN in my avatar. Moms are blwr blue's and splash.

I am hatching some black copper marans and cannot see in them- but I am hoping to see in air cel maybe by day 9 or so and will track by that.

My mini mag lite (226 lumens)sees in my back copper maran eggs. I cannot see as well as a blue or white, of course, but I see veins and movement. It's at walmart for $25. Maybe you have a good one already, I just think the investment saves me the worry of not knowing.
