Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

It's not upside down. It's at a 45 degree angle. If you cut out the bottom of the carton, they'll just sit there.

I though it was upside down too. I flipped my laptop upside down, sideways.... now I see it. Loving the carton idea.

I don't turn each egg one by one anymore. I just run my hand over all of them and sort of shift them around. No problems so far....
Good Luck with your hatch!!

I guess I'm just strange. I had my eggs in an egg carton but I didn't like it. I want to touch every egg.

I didn't know that I had to put them tilted when in cartons at lock down. Or did I misunderstood
No,sorry I meant instead of hand turning each one, you can put them in cartons and tilt the whole incubator from side to side. Put something under one end and move it to the other end after a few hours. At lock down, you can put it back flat and leave the eggs in the cartons or take them out and lay them on their sides. No more turning or tilting.

Well today @ 5 pm is the supposed to be start of my lock down I have 2 sets of eggs 2 days apart so instead of uping humidity today I will for it Sunday at 5pm just candled my 45 eggs and for sure 44 are doing great ones kinda questionable no odors do I'm going to let it ride it out I'm praying to the chicken gods and goddesses for a good hatch since this is my first time incubating I'm going to throw some corn in the yard tmrw and maybe do a chickendance iI'm sure my neighbors will love that :)

Done it all, anything for a good hatch. Works best if you do the fertility dance without clothes. Makes you more at one with nature. Thats what the guy next door told me.
