Getting ready to fire up the Incubator Friday...picking up a dozen German New Hampshire eggs Thursday

Some of you folks told me it was addictive and I've had a hard time not firing it back up...A dozen more wont hurt, I mean really? I only have 30 chickens of various ages right now

My son and his wife gave us the news right before they left for the Thanksgiving holiday that they are expecting baby #3 They have two boys, ages 4 and 3....and yes, a girl would be nice

but I wont complain as long as baby and momma are ok

I totally understand. I have 14 in the bator and 13 of a friend due to hatch the 16th. I also have 6 shipped from an auction, and 20 I bought on line. A new bator coming in, all for the same time.


Oh and I forgot to mention, my 6 hens laying, which I will also put in the bator. Lol getting ready for nice eggs in summer.

Yes!! My first hatch went well, out of 23 that made it to lockdown 20 hatched, of those 17 are now almost 4 months old, 7 are roosters...I'm hoping but not expecting as good of a Hen to Roo ratio but will keep my fingers crossed.

Lol I'm not even ready for grandchildren. Tell my daughter that I won't babysit anything that I can't put in a cage.
