Well I won't bother her she has eight eggs but one is six days behind so I may give that to the other broody. So she doesn't waste her time on porous eggs.

Im just so worried second time with a broody, but this time I'm paying full attention. Do you think I killed the babies I candled.[/quote
You will have to give it to another broody because she will leave that egg to take care of her newly hatched babies.
I haven't found mant threads besides this one where people are friendly. I have asked a few questions on turkey threads. Usually no answer. They would probably scold me for giving Max people vitamins. But I figure he needs something to make up for the ice cream and Taco Bell. That is so darn cute! I got a chuckle this morning..needed that. Have you shared this on a turkey thread? They would love it!
I have just started my new pens. I work on them when I'm waiting for something to dry on my new ccoop. I was so excited to find the lumber at 70% off.this spring I will be breeding my phoenix, buff laced brahma's, gold laced polish, blue orpingtons, ameraucana's and araucana's
we will be starting the breeding(housing) pens when this next rain passes....so exciting!! I love my birds
The new broody might not accept the chick she hatches since she's only been broody a few days. Watch closely how she treats it. I've had them peck them to death if they weren't broody for at least 2 weeks.YeYou will have to give it to another broody because she will leave that egg to take care of her newly hatched babies.
Yeah ironically on day 17 our other silkie went broody.
