Anyone else using the little giant I noticed after day 10 I had to turn the heat down just a little but I think I read on here its cause the embryos start making their own heat around that stage I'm excited In am will make only 7 days left :) but seeing others with chicks at day 19 makes me hope some might be sooner haha also gimmiebirdie your candling at daysix looks like mine did on day 4 by day 6 my lil guys had big black dotes of eyes very noticeable

I have two......one I use as a hatcher......................

I use a Little Giant. Actually have two. And they heat and run totally different. Unfortunately, I have never had an early hatcher in my LG.

ordered some buff guinea's and put a bid on sky blue guinea's
several more of my bantams have started laying...so excited
working on a breeding coop for my buff laced brahmas....hope to move them by the end of the week

BRAHMA BRAHMAS...I love Brahmas. Just got 2 buff pullets Sunday. Now I have 2 light, 2 buff and 1 dark. BRAHMAS BRAHMAS

Ok final count is in. Had the last three in the incubator pip yesterday afternoon 2 and a half days later than scheduled and also the same since the broody eggs hatched. First was out at 4am, 12 hours laterand is a healthy chick, but of the last 2, one pipped through the side, and was unable to turn and the other was pipped normally and unable to turn either. One other egg has been under another broody since lock down but hasnt pipped as of tomight so I reckon that is a no show. The side pipped chick had to have help over a number of hours and has splayed legs. The other was also heled but has passed away early this afternoon.. Have splinted the splayed leg one and will try to put both in with mum hen overnight. See how we go.
