normally I dry hatch- but I have fridge eggs that need more water- I put caps in the incubator,
then quickly fill them with this syringe, this syringe may be a good idea for people who want to dry hatch but don't want a complete dryhatch if you put one of these in your incubator it would slowly evaporate. just something to try.

~~what day are you on? white or brown eggs? I started hatching with brown eggs and they are pretty tough to see through. if you ever get the chance to candle a white egg, it's a lot easier to see veins! really fun for learning on movement is great!! I would not toss any eggs until day 10 or even 15 if it were me!

I am on day 9, They are silkie eggs and they are a very light pink......... They are pretty darn see through I am just to inexperienced to know what the heck I am doing. I'm just seeing a yolk float around in the 5 newest eggs. I hope there is a little fella in there. Let me change that to... I hope there is a little girl in there. I've had my fill on roosters. the last batch of silkie chicks I got 3 roosters and 1 hen.

I won't give up on anything unless it starts to stink...

I have BLRW's..............and the hens are very broody....I just love them

LOL my postal lady knows me I guess. I went out to meet her, she's like your eggs are here!! I'm like I'M SO EXCITED!!! rofl she thinks i'm nutso

weighed them all... candled them all... sadly it looks like ALL of them have detached air cells

Here is my updated plan for this hatch, had to change it up a little since they are detached:

• rest 24hr
• begin increasing temperature slowly over 8hrs
• add to incubator, but do not turn for 48 hrs - then begin turning
• remove incubator lid for 10-15min/day for daily cooling
• candle within the incubator, do not remove until day 15. air cell takes 2 weeks to re-heal. must avoid turning eggs on their side, only upright!
• stop turning early at day 16
• hatch upright in egg cartons (not on their sides)

setting them tomorrow! going to need lots of luck!!!

do you really!! do you ever sell hatching eggs? where are your genetics from if you know? I am in Oregon too and if I could get them locally...........

I absolutely love BLRW's too... so pretty and so very very nice. I hatched out 5 BLRW's last time, they have the absolute best personalities, unbelievably sweet and nice to humans. sadly 4 of them were Roos, so I had to get more!

Got my EBay eggs today!!! Gonna let them rest for a day and then straight into the bators!!!!
