Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Trying to clean the house. Washing my bedding. What's the point when this keeps happening. Now I have towash my mattress pad again. I can't blame them. I love taking a nap on a freshly washed bed.

I'm posted a couple weeks ago, Im incubating marans, ameraucanas, possible olive eggers, and some silkie x purebred ameraucana mixes. This is the first time Ive hatched silkie x ameraucanas, last time I did silkie x marans and they all came out adorable! I'm raising two of the pullets out to see what shade of egg color they lay. Here's some pics:

So cute. How old? Did you keep a rooster? I'd love to see what they'd look like if you breed 2 together.

I like to share, what makes me crazy, makes everyone else laugh. I have to admit that most of the timeI just lay down next to them and cuddle. What's one more load of laundry?

I am on day 20 of my fridge eggs- and i don't like to candle at this stage- I did candle one- it was not in the air cell but I saw it flexing the wall inbetween.

OMG just realized my first bunch of eggs goes in to lock down on Wed. so excited and nervous this will be the kids and I's first time hatching eggs looks like we have 24 that are viable how crazy would it be if they all hatched we have two incubators going and will get the third one started as a hatching bator (each of my kids got an incubator for christmas). We have three batches of eggs
going right now the second batch goes in to lock down on friday. they have some detached air cells (they were shipped eggs and I think there may only be 3 out of the twelve that could hatch every one cross your fingers for me. One question though is it ok to add the later batch to the hatching bator even after the other eggs are in lock down?

I am OLD.................and hopefully wiser............
I am here to tell you that you are GOOD ENOUGH.............If you just think about what kind of personality it takes to do
what we do...Then maybe you can see your good points.............. I do not know you, but I know chickens people.
Generally we are soft, caring, loving, caretakers, and commit ourselves to the end.
Your baby is sooooooo lucky to have a future Mom like you........
And that guy didn't deserve you.....................so there..................You are loved and you will get through this..............

I have been so well behaved for most of the winter except for the one time I fell off of the wagon and ordered chicks from Greenfire. I will never order chicks in the winter again. I have not ordered any eggs since August. That is all over. I have Araucanas, Red Dorkings (for a friend), Bresse, Barnevelders, Legbars and Basque eggs on their way. I was bidding on the Mottled Ameraucanas, oooowwwww they are so pretty. But now I am super poor. I hope more go up in a few weeks. I would love some.
