I have a friend that has the OEG's.. Those little birds are so cute, and friendly! I never knew they could/would be like that. I pictured them not wanting anything to do with a person. His little girls come right up to him. And, one really loves the attention..follows him all over. Too cute.
I love 'em. I'm incubating these for a woman in exchange for some d'Uccle eggs in the spring.

Southchick, my hatch is due to finish in 10 days... Can I see how that goes and get back to you on it? I am REALLY interested in that! 8D

Of course! No pressure. I only have 5 hens total that I'm hatching from, so if you decide to, then just give me enough notice to collect and we're all good :)

Okay so I seen some pics of fizzles and now I want to hatch them I've looked in where are you where am I for someone local and no luck :-( so I'll be checking the egg section later for someone who sales em may have to do shipped eggs as much as I dislike the thought of trying to hatch shipped eggs :-(

If your looking for Frizzles sometimes you can find them on ebay. Mostly bantams though. There is a lady I bought my Sweedish Flowers from and she breeds standard frizzles but they are "flowered". I would love to get some of my own! With the temps going all screwie lately here in the mid south, you might want to wait. You can find her on ebay here: http://www.ebay.com/usr/cbehlei
Just tell her the Oklahoma gal "Cheryl" referred you to her. Her frizzles really are pretty!!!

One of my frizzle silkie babies finally pipped this morning and now has a little beak out. Still just one big hole after its 8 hours of work on it. But we're finally getting somewhere!!! :-D yaaay!!

Ok so here I go again!!!

Got 16 gathered from my girls in the last three days and am buying 2 dozen mixed heritage breeds from a guy up the road... 40 will be set tomorrow evening...

Is there a way to candle before setting to assure they are fertile before placing them in the incubator??
