Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

it's snowing here today but when it's warmer I'll get a picture of my araucana's....1 that has had 1 tuft on 1 check since she was a few days old is finally getting a tuft on the other cheek

Whatever my hen is, EE, Americauna, araucana.. She is just so sweet. She's about 4 years old, and is like an old lady. She doesn't want to bother anyone with her needs or anything. I kind of wish she was a bit more outgoing and had more confidence in herself. My wyandottes are just bullies and aren't shy at all. It drives me insane.

my little frizzles eggs are due to hatch this weekend but it's 18 degrees out there...she's dedicated to them but they don't feel warm enough to me...we shall see

my candy corn polish are in lock down...due Sat.!! really looking forward to them

my hubby had a disk replaced in his neck yesterday...I can't get to the hospital due to the snow storm...BOO
he's nice and drugged so I don't think he cares right now lol

I bought some wooden skewers about 10 or 12 inches long and use them to turn eggs
through the vent holes when in lock down....Has really helped me.....Once I helped pop the top
off an egg with them..it was zipped but seemed stuck..........Good Luck
Hey, now that sounds like a good idea. Turning those eggs a bit to see which one is pipped at the other side, and helping if they get stuck during zipping. Thanks!

put in my 22 serama and 3 d'uccle eggs in the bator about 15-20 minutes ago.....hatchday should be the 28th...hope i get lots of cute fuzz butts

So out of the 16 eggs I put in my incubators only seven were good candidates for lockdown. One of the seven hatched on day 20, since then there has been no movement whatsoever. Could this be a bad sign??
