Had a Large Fowl Cochin do the same thing to me on day 19. Left it until the night, pipped it more, put it into another bator to be able to pick at it once in a while. This is day 21, I finally have it out, but I didn't pull the legs up and out yesterday darn it. I am going to have to tape legs together to get the one right. Will take a couple of days, I can tell. But it's alive and doing well.
Awwwww!! How cute
I will post pictures tonight I have 4 chicks so far they are not doing as well as I would like for them to be doing other then the very first one one has mildly splayed legs one is super tiny almost like a bantam but it has fuzzy legs so can't be a bantam as my only bantams are americanas and they lay blues eggs the one who hatched this morning was still really struggling to even get upright this morning so I am not sure if it will even still be alive when I get home. But my fingers are crossed, My oldest chick was a solid yellow while the other three look like yours but one has feathers on its legs I know the youngest one is a Maran Aracauna cross. The others I am not sure as I have quite the assortment of hens.
Very cute!!
Yeah, unless you perceive that the chick is in trouble somehow, I would just let them work themselves out of the shell on their own. But I understand where you're coming from. It takes longer than we'd like for them to hatch after pip! I'm anxious too.
Good luck with your hatch!!
