Good Afternoon All

I have just turned my new Janoel 24 Incubator on to test it out. I have 6 fertile eggs sitting here waiting to go in. The temp is currently at 38 degrees.

The work light keeps flashing. Is this normal?

I have not changed a thing on it, does that mean it is at factory settings?

What did you find was the easiest with your first time ever incubating?

Sorry for the dumbass questions, i’m trying to do this with my disabled son.

Cheers

Suggestions of a thermometer?
Get a glass fish tank one or a couple just to make sure. I would also get a hygrometer so you can make sure the humidity is correct. Do not trust what the incubator says.

I'd let the incubator run for a few days before you even put eggs in. You need to learn your incubator and temp/humidity before you can set eggs. Not running it before can cause lots of problems in the long run that you could avoid if you have patience to wait a few days.

I got a lot of advice on here with my first incubating experience. I did another one recently and it went so smooth compared to the first time.

Just know that it's your first time so mistakes happen and lessons will be learned. Just take your first time as a learning experience.

Your son is going to love the experience! What a nice bonding time for the both of you!

These are what I have

I picked my eggs up this morning, we’re laid on the weekend!

Was told Thursday at the latest to put them in!

Have added some photos of what the manual says.
