Hi Okay so bought this incubator off eBay. For £119.99 holds 48 eggs turns them every 2 hours. Control heat and humidity settings.

Okay so first of all wanted to test how accurate the temperature was. So I bought 2 extra digital thermometers. I set it the temp of the bator at 37.7 which its quickly heated up to, one of the thermometer read 37.5 and the other 37.8 so this is too bad I thought.

The real test so far is how many eggs have developed. Okay so out of 24 eggs 22 have made great development and the two eggs had blood rings.

I will keep updating this thread on how much progress my eggs make. Does any one else have this incubator ? If so what was your review ?

Update on the janoel incubator I have 6 days remaining and have 18 eggs out of 24 developed and at the right stage in their growth. This bator has been brilliant so far !!

Out of 24 you only got 3???

The first time using this brand of incubator I had 1 hatch out of 24, the second time I had 8 hatch out of 40........ Most had fully formed chicks but didn't pip or hatch, I had trouble regulating the humidity..... Do you have any tips?

I've got the janoel 10 on at the moment, can't say how good it is until babies hatch (hopefully)

Did you use the kind of digital thermometers with cords or the kind you sit inside(cordless)? If you used the corded type, did the probe fit through the vent hole on top or did you run it under the side? Brand also?
