I woke up to 3 silkie pips in the Hovabator. No pips yet in the Brinsea Mini...day 20 here! Woot woot!

Out of 4 cochin frizzle eggs 3 were pipped this morning when i left at 5:30 am.... still no noise or pips on the 4th egg.

Well i set 15 eggs on the 4th. Of those 5 were infertile so i locked down 10 eggs. And 9 of those hatched!!! Last one quit on us i guess. I havent gotten the nerve up yet to do late stage eggtopsys yet :/ Stuck in jury duty at the moment but will get pics up of the fuzzies this evening

I slightly assisted one. Thanks for hugs. I'm just so disappointed---out of 12 eggs, 8 made it to lockdown. Of those 8, 2 didn't hatch, 3 were deformed and none of the ones that made it were the Orps I got to surprise my hubby with. I didn't tell him what they were until they started hatching, then all of "his" chicks turn out like this. So disgusted....!

So sorry to hear about your troubled little chicks. I had 3 two hatches ago that had issues. Fortunately for their sake they passed within 24 hours. Otherwise I would have had to put them to rest

Sorry about your chicks gentry, making the decision about culling can be very hard

Gentry, I had a chick with a messed up foot, it got better on its own by week 2, cross bills get worse, plus they cannot clean themselves. I am sorry..
