Okay, 3 out! Including the side-pipper.

There is a second one that pipped the side! I can see 4 pips. I need something to mark them with to tell the birchen and the black apart.

Yay! Mark the top of one breed with a blue or green permanent marker. That's what the hatcheries do. Or use zip ties on a leg of one breed type.

Anyone have Orpington experience?There's one on day 23 in the incubator. I started to help it and noticed it was still vascular...Which have receeded but, not enough. Are they typically later hatchers? I hatched another one in the other incubator but he hatched 3 days ago.
 
Just drew up plans for a 2nd chicken coop! Uh oh, I think I may have a problem!! I knew I had OCD before but now I have a 2nd kind of OCD!!

I had to add this pic because the chick is sitting in an empty carton section. He's been there for a while, so I guess he likes it.

Edit: he left that spot for a bit, but then went back to it. Lol! Next time I'm going to put some empty cartons in the there for the chicks to sit in!
