I'm not really sure why those few broke. The bubble wrap was in place still around each egg and in the bottom of the box. I think the paper may have compacted down during shipping because there was a lot of free space in the box. I think the eggs bumped around together and that's why some broke. No worries though, I am so tickled to be able to do this swap and share my own flock with others while getting new breeds in to my own flock as well. It's such a cool idea!
Besides, you certainly sent enough to make up for the few that broke and I really appreciate everyone sending so many extra. I actually had to get another incubator to set them all ...well setting them all was my excuse to buy another one anyway. I was thrilled open the boxes and find so many eggs in each. Donnie sent 18!
**If you sent what's in your signature line my DS is going to have a small stroke. He wants to start a colorful frizzle line with NN & tophats in it (overachiever) so he's been looking at Cochins, Wayndottes, some Polish varieties, standard frizzles, and we have the NNs already.
