I love Nn's! I went out and took some photos today of some of my girls. My buff NN lays a pretty olive color, and my cuckoo bar leg also lays a light green egg. First time I've had one. I really like her. Just started about a month ago, does she ever lay! Egg is still getting bigger. My Plymouth Rock just gave me my third pretty cream egg today. Then there is my silly legorn, Miss Piggy, she's always right there. Love me a leghorn, sweetest, fun birds! My NN's have the straight comb, and lay the brown eggs. I'm waiting for those eggs to be fertile and big enough to hatch some of those. I just have the brown egg layers- Australorp and NN's, and now these CCLB blue ones. My next door neighbor told me today that they will be wanting some of my started chicks in the spring. She asked about ones that lay green eggs, and I told her that she was welcome to buy the pullets in one color of egg and the cockerel in the other, and breed her own green egg layers... lol

I have a bantam NN, see to the right? I have a friend who is coming by tomorrow for my 2 lavender roosters and I will talk her into taking my 2 blue isbar roosters, They are 6/7 weeks old. If I can find anyone to cart off roosters I give them an arm full. The lavenders I will insist she not do away with, since they are pure. I have some lavender orpington mixed eggs in my incubator, so that is nice. I am going to keep my Dezi, he can grow up to be top rooster, and I will wait and see what roosters my eggs produce.

I was moving a big tv today, that still works, I moved it to the bedroom, onto a chair, but could not lift it on :rantto the dresser. Hubby lifted it the final distance. so now I can watch shows in bed. (we have not had a tv in the bedroom for a while.) I tweaked my back trying to lift it the last distance. I hid my back pain from hubby, and did stretches. I took some back and body asprin. Having a glass of wine now to hopefully relax it!:fl

Lovely girls

I agree what small reliable incubators would you guys recommend? And nice day 6 getting along well! What breeds?
I haven't had any personal experience with the smaller ones but have heard excellent reviews from the Brinsea tabletops - they have a variety to choose from. You could use a cheaper styrofoam (not sure what is available in the UK) but people have really good success with the Little Giants and they run around $40 for a still air - you could use one this size for just a couple eggs or a whole pile (depending on your mood - LOL)
