On Day 17, and I just candled because it's been a few days- all eggs are healthy with moving chicks! Eeeeeeee! Lock down tomorrow!

I have my first Naked Neck of this offspring hatched! I can’t get a photo where she is in the incubator. With only one parent being NN how does the genetics work?

It’s from my Polish/Silkie mix so I hope it has her silkie feathering so she will be a show girl! I have noticed that she doesn’t have a vaulted skull like her Mom did.
This is her Mom HeiHei and of course Mr Vader (NN/Ayam Cemani).

My hen has gone broody but the other day she was off her eggs for a while and they felt cold to the touch but the next day she was back to sitting. DO the eggs have a chance?

Boy, that really differs. Having said that, we start worrying after it's been 24 hrs. All is good if you are still hearing peeps from inside.

Just got all caught up on everyones hatching shenanigans!!! Yay for loads of pips and baby chick pics and lovely chicken pics as well. The Genesis is whirring away (I really should find another place other than my closet .... I LOVE the fan noise but not so fond of the chirping day and night noise when babies are hatching)!!! Night Night everyone
