Last night before I went to bed I did one more check on the bator and thought I heard cheeping but it was only once so I wasnt sure. I stood there for a while looking at the eggs and saw one wiggling all over the place in the carton. I got up at 4 this morning to check (I just couldnt wait 2 more long hours for my alarm to go off). I didnt see anything so I went back to bed. Then after my alarm did go off I went down as soon as I got my kids up to get ready for school . And the wiggler from the night before had pipped!! I hope to have a chick when I get home from work, this is going to be a long day. It pipped at 20.5 days.
Now I have to wait until I get home to see if I have a chick or if any of the other 25 silkies have pipped.
Yay, good luck on your hatch and keep us posted.
I just candeled the two I had in lockdown and neither one of them made it. It looks like they quit when I put them in at day 18.
I have a few more going into lockdown tomorrow. I hope I have better luck with them.
Decision time... go to the gym after work to workout or go home and check to see if my pip hatched and see if there are any more pips? Decisions, decisions!
