I have one that is about 10 weeks old from this cross. It is a pullet and is faded black with golden red around the neck. I will post a picture later after my hands thaw out (I just plowed the driveway) She is very pretty and gentle. I am anxious to see if they all look like her.

Here is a picture of this cross ( this was a few weeks ago). She hatched in October but I can't remember the exact day - she was under a broody. Think it was the 7th or so. That poor broody hatched 5 chicks this time around and this was the only one to survive. She has never lost any in the past - weather was just too nasty and wet and cold for the little naked necks she hatched.

I'm in for this too! I have 8 eggs set to hatch on the 18th. This is my first hatch ever.

I candled the other day and it looks like 3 look real good and 1 probably won't make it.

But I'm still hopeful.

I'll join! I was in on the christmas hatch last month, had one chick from it (my first hatch). She's doing well, getting her wing and tail feathers and such. Momma didn't want her and kept on brooding so I put 7 more under her not quite 2 weeks ago. They're all candling well. and will be due around the 18th. I also ordered some purebred ameraucana eggs and should be getting them soon so will be in with you all on all this

Ok I'm joining in!

Just set 17 eggs, 11 of my mutt's eggs and 6 ee's from Carole (Fowl Visions). I was afraid to take the plunge (my first hatch) but saw Carole at the Sunshine Classic today and she gave me the little push I needed. We'll see how it goes...

I'm in. I have a staggered hatch going to test fertility on my new layers. I set some on the 27 and 30th of last month and some on the 7th I think of this month. They are sizzles, bo, hudan and GLWxbuff brahmas.

Okie Dokie I am in, I set 35 eggs on Dec 30th, they are mixture of pure breeds but of which ones I am not for sure I didnt mark them, I do know that there are BR, GLwyandottes, Marans, and Light Brahmas, I figuring hatch of around the 20th, oh, and this is my first try at hatching!!! Welcome Everybody! I too am in for what was supposed to be my second to the last hatch. But... today I found myself wrangling for some Olive Eggers. It never ends. Hopefully they will come in time to set with my order from Julie Gabbard. I wish I knew when those are coming!
