And I thought the runty cockerel I processed with one testicle and one ovary was different.

That was possibly a gynandromorph like this one! Or it could have had a serious hormone issue in the egg that caused its gonads to develop wrong.
If it happens again, the reproductive tract of a chicken with one ovary and one testicle would be of some interest to any local scientists. You can preserve organs easily by just putting them in some rubbing alcohol in a sealed jar. Or that might sell on Ebay.

I just rip the guts out and give parts to the dog, like testicles. I couldn't find the 2nd one to give him and that's when I seen the ovary in the middle. I will have to remember to check the runts out before I start ripping LOL

It's also possible that was a testicle that never descended. I don't know if chicken testicles descend like they do in mammals or if they're just born with their testicles already in the right place.
