I am raising black and grey. The SOP says the shank and feet are to be dusky yellow. Today when looking at my birds some of the legs seem dark. Darker than what I would call dusky. I tried looking through several pages here to see legs of these varieties, but legs are difficult to see since the birds are so short. Wondering if I am being to critical in my determination of dusky yellow. Does anyone have pictures of black and grey legs from birds that have shown well so I can better understand what color is dusky yellow?

its almost like a pale or dirty yellow go on google and look up some pics of......wait i think i have one but it may not show the legs that well....u may have to zoom in srry...

Found a pic of my original breeding hens. I think their leg color is good. Some of the offspring are considerably darker? Is darker than this acceptable?

These are the legs of a black hatched Oct. 2012 (Photo 3/15/13). Are these legs to dark? I think they are, but I'm very new to Japanese.
