I don't have any for sale as I am new to the breed myself. I would be interested in some barred japs next spring/summer. I currently have black and grey.

Ugh, this thread sold me! Four Japanese Banties on the way.

Just curious how often do these cuties lay? Some sites say a fair amount and some say very rarely? About the size of a quail egg I'm guessing?

Mine are fairly good layers and a little bigger than a quail egg.

My girls lay fairly large eggs compared to their size, I am always surprised by how big they are. I would say they ar fair layers. They tend to lay a lot when they are laying, but take off during the winter.

Here is a barred holland egg, a mottled Japanese Banty egg, and a coturnix quail egg.

How big/small is a Japanese Bantam compared to a Silkie? Are they about the same size, or smaller?

Smaller. Even without the fuzz difference.
My Japs fully grown, are about the size of my 4-6 month old Silkies.
