japanese bantam thread!!!

Hey guys! Im hoping to get his thread a long way! Learn things from eachother, sell your eggs, and share your birds!!!!

So we ended up getting a mixed batch of chickens from our normal chicken breeder but one thing. We didnt ask for a mixed batch! We wanted silkies and ammericunnas but ended up with two ammericuna like birds and my jap bantam because the new worker couldnt identify the right eggs haha. Anyways, im relly happy i got this batch instead of what i wanted because jap bantams are such a nice breed and ive learned so much about them! I want to get a hen dor my rooster so badly!

Oh also, my rooster is four months old and his sickles are sort of small compared to some others like his kind. As they get older to their fethers get bigger???? I hope they do!! I want my roo to be gorgeous for the fair next year!!!

Hes also missing tail feathers from molting.... I think. He had five on each side and now only has three on each side!!! He has gaps where his feathers were by his but and sickles and i can see the pin feathers of his new feathers coming in. Is loosing the back tail feathers normal??? And what if they do loose their sickles? Is that bad???
