japanese/coturnix quail

    how can you tell a female baby coturnix quail from a male baby coturnix quail?
    are they noisy?
    are they good brooders/parent?
    is feeding mash ok to them? if not then what do they eat?
    im new to quails so please help , thanks in advance :D
    and how do you tell if an egg is fertile?

    Wow so many questions....a lot of what you're looking for will be in the stickies, but I'll bold next to your text...
    So, do you have some now or just researching the possibility of getting some?

    Yeaahhh I have some now there just chicks and I don't have incubator

    I have only had about 300 total quail, and I hatched all but 12 of them. Out of those only one hen was broody, so ya, it is rare. If you want to feed the addiction buy or build an incubator and hatch ya some.
