Japanese nuclear plants hot -

When new reports were released of cesium and iodine leaks at the Japanese plant after the earthquake/tsunami, my SO told me this is clearly not just a tritium leak and is more serious.

Yet he stills says there will be a local effect, nothing broad or far reaching - at this point it is classed as a level 4 accident(local only). He does accept the explanation and description being given now, and we also watched a report in which Bill Nye said the information provided is making sense, but my SO cautioned me that Bill is not a nuclear expert or familiar with that particular plant.

My SO told me not to assume that anything is being held back - but that the situation is changing right now and new information is being released constantly.

Me? I will sleep easy when this is over and everything is cooled down.
