japanese quail and hatching

i am still waiting for my little quails to hatch, day 16 tomorrow so i am hoping something will happen then.
how many days was your last little quail that hatched.
i will keep them in the incubator for 20 days if they don't hatch then i will gather they never will.
i hope that i will get some.

it will be day 19 this evening, wasnt expecting these 2 to hatch, 7 more to go

still only 5 chicks one has a bit of a funny walk and it seems like it cant walk properly all the time, could this be spray leg?

it is day 21 tomorrow and no other eggs shown signs of hatching apart from a few being heavier than the others, is day 21 the cut off for hatching do you think?

i would say that day 21 is the cut off day, i often wonder that if they hatch late that there will be a problem with the quail.
i am day 16 and still no quails, i did candle one today and it is alive, so they are not ready to pip just yet. hurry up little quails.

I floated a couple and some where quite far out the water there was one that kinds of just sticks out a little but I cannot hear anything

When I candled my quail eggs one egg floated high and the rest were middle or near the bottom. When my eggs hatched all hatched except one so I reckon a high floater means a dud. When my quail hatched her own eggs and a few days went by and she was still sitting the last two eggs I water tested those too and again high floaters and dud eggs. One I could candle and confirmed no development. The other was too patchy dark but as I said floated high.

i had 18 in lock down and 18 hatched, really lucky.
this is them at 2 days.

these are 2 weeks old. really sweet little quails.
