Oh, I see - embedded in the article, when they're not saying things like "poop burger" to gross us out, is the truth: the artificial meat is made from protein extracted from bacteria that grow in sewage mud.

In other words, it's about the same number of steps from "poop" as plants fertilized with manure. (Though everybody says that vegetarianism is healthier, anyway...

Luckily this is a hoax. The first time the story showed up was in 1993. It's a testament to poor journalism that they are reporting it as true... But very funny all the same and just in time for a whole new crowd to be grossed completely out! I think I would choose to starve first.
