Most of the birds I sell are mixed bantams, sometimes large fowl, they sell ok were I live. The hens always sell better. I’d say if u want large fowl go with the RIR , if you won’t bantams go with the jap. Or if u want to get into purebred breeding and want to sell eating eggs or a large amount of chicks I’d go with RIR. In my own opinion I’d go with breeding pure Japanese but when breeding japs there is the creeper gene. Or if your fine with mixed birds get the RIR bc the jap will be to short and won’t be able to breed standard girls.

i hatched his hens egg. the hen was a cream legbar. So he bred my cream legbar, in fact mostly all my hens eggs are fertile right now
