no just a RIR roo with my girls who arent golden wyandottes. And then an gold wyandotte roo with some wyandotte hens so thats 2 breeding pens.

You said purebred Wyandottes, RIR mixes, and then Wyandotte mixes. That's going to need three pens. Except if you're not going to do the Wyandotte mixes

Ok then. When selecting for a Wyandotte cockerel for your project, try selecting a good one, reputation goes a long way and having good quality birds helps immensely

In Sacrametato I would have never believed that eating roosters (1/2") spurs, go from $30-$75. These can be crosses of dual purpose chicken. The roosters cost more than hens, believe it or not.
