Ok then. When selecting for a Wyandotte cockerel for your project, try selecting a good one, reputation goes a long way and having good quality birds helps immensely

That's a lot of roosters is 50 to 75 dollars an average??? most around me are like 5 to 10 dollars. darn sacremento is far away from me sorry.

What is your main flock? Bantams, large fowl? My own opinion of Rhode Island Reds is that they tend to be aggressive, so I would not risk having one for a rooster. But others may see this breed differently.
I would agree. My Japanese bantam is very sweet and has even became a “mother” to orphaned baby chicks letting them go under him. They are a sweet breed.

I think you mentioned somewhere about breeding wyandottes but if you’re interested I probably will be selling my pure Japanese bantam eggs when weather gets warmer. They would be white black tailed.

Yes, that’s a average. That’s actually considered somewhat cheap but you have to take certain things into mind.
Are they pure/show quality?
Have they won show awards?
Are they pet quality?
Are they both? (Show and pet quality) will be very expensive then.
Are they good with children and not aggressive?
Age? If they are adults they usually cost more.

All of these things must be put into thought and if they are show quality, won awards, and pet quality, you could expect to pay a lot of money.
