I would agree. My Japanese bantam is very sweet and has even became a “mother” to orphaned baby chicks letting them go under him. They are a sweet breed. What is your main flock? Bantams, large fowl? My own opinion of Rhode Island Reds is that they tend to be aggressive, so I would not risk having one for a rooster. But others may see this breed differently.
Yes, that’s a average. That’s actually considered somewhat cheap but you have to take certain things into mind. That's a lot of roosters is 50 to 75 dollars an average??? most around me are like 5 to 10 dollars. darn sacremento is far away from me sorry.
NPIP is an acronym for the National Poultry Improvement Plan.ok thanks i was thinking of just getting 2 to 3 pullets along with him! By the way what is NPIP???
ok thank you how much per dozen???I think you mentioned somewhere about breeding wyandottes but if you’re interested I probably will be selling my pure Japanese bantam eggs when weather gets warmer. They would be white black tailed.

Becoming NPIP certified is a choice, but breeders who are certified are usually more trusted and have more buyers than those who are not. If you are wanting to ship live birds or hatching eggs out of state you MUST be NPIP to do so.NPIP is an acronym for the National Poultry Improvement Plan.
