Java Peafowl

I have 3 java males 2 are mean and one is real flighty and 2 burmese males one is mean and the other i not sure if he going to mean or not. Most are aggressive to the hens and there keeper. I bought this male several years ago from a older man and he got tired of him attacking him ever time he went in the pen I had him 8 years and he never try to attack me untill about a year latter and I thought he was going to kill me before I got out of the pen. When I go in there pens I always have a bucket to keep them off me and never turn you back to them they will be on you in a heart beat

Wow I'm so jealous of your java's, i'm still stuck with only 1 java peacock. I know mine isn't so nice himself. If i get in the pen and turn my back for a second he's jumping me from behind. I think their more tertorial then anything. He's finally turning 2 next year and has his first train with only 1 eye feather so far. Here's a few pics of mine.

Lol and that is why my parents won't let me have greens! They sure are pretty though.

I have 9 java (2 males 7 hens), and 4 imperators (1 male 3 hens).
5 of the java are from Cherokee's too by the way.
All are 2 now, and none have to date attacked me, yet LOL

None will eat from my hand though.
The javas are weirry but not flighty. The imperators on the other hand. I have to wear the same colored clothes and all everytime I go in there so they know it's me, everytime I have on a different hat, or new colored shirt or something like that, they go wild on me. But never aggressive (again so far) they want to be as far away from em as they can when I'm inside with them.
Now I do have a 3 year old hi spaulding, that will pop you everytime you go in his pen, so yes, they do bare watching for sure in all the greens.
I'd perfer flighty over aggressive any day.

Just wondering how everyone raises their greens. I saw on one website they play music all the time for the young ones to get them used to all sorts of noises and everything. Has anyone had a mean India Blue peacock before or do they not get as mean as greens? Just wondering.

I have only had one india blue that is mean, but he was hand raise only peachick, so he is imprint on humans. he will attack me during breeding season. Rest of the year he follows me and eat from my hand.

I have to wait till January before I can purchase anymore birds, but if you still have some in January I defintly want some. Would we be able to ship 2 per box?
